Veteran singer Udit Narayan has come under fire after a viral video showed him kissing a female fan on the lips during a show. The clip sparked outrage on social media, with many calling his actions inappropriate. Amid this backlash, the internet has now unearthed older videos where Udit was seen kissing singers Alka Yagnik and Shreya Ghoshal at various events.

Following the controversy, social media users shared past instances of Udit Narayan displaying similar behavior with his colleagues. In one such video, Udit kissed Alka Yagnik on the cheek during an episode of Indian Idol. The clip shows Alka singing on stage when Udit suddenly approaches her and kisses her. A startled Alka immediately moves away, appearing visibly uncomfortable. In another instance, she was seen reacting with discomfort after Udit kissed her at a separate event.

Similarly, a resurfaced video of an award ceremony features Udit presenting an award to Shreya Ghoshal alongside Malaika Arora. As Shreya steps on stage, Udit hugs her and kisses her on the cheek. The singer momentarily appears uneasy but quickly composes herself and smiles before accepting the award.

The resurfaced videos have fueled further criticism against Udit Narayan. Many social media users condemned his actions, stating that both Alka and Shreya appeared visibly uncomfortable. One user commented, "She (Shreya) clearly felt uncomfortable and laughed it off." Another wrote, "This behavior is completely unacceptable. The way he held Shreya's arm was inappropriate."

Another social media post read, "Instead of respecting her personal space, he continued holding onto her while speaking. Such actions are disrespectful and should never be normalized." Some even criticized Udit’s interactions with Alka Yagnik over the years, calling them inappropriate and disrespectful to his wife.

Addressing the controversy, Udit Narayan responded in an interview with The Hindustan Times. He dismissed the criticism, attributing such interactions to fan enthusiasm. “Fans are extremely passionate. We are not like that; we are decent people,” he said. He explained that fans often express love through gestures like handshakes and kisses, adding, "This is all madness. One shouldn’t pay much attention to it."

Udit Narayan has collaborated with Alka Yagnik and Shreya Ghoshal on several hit songs over the years. Some of their most popular duets include Jaane Kyon Log Pyar, Raja Ko Rani Se, Haseeno Ko Aate Hain, Hum To Dil Se Haare, Udja Kale Kawan, and Bairi Piya. However, the recent controversy has cast a shadow over his interactions with his fellow singers.
