New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: A 33-year-old man in the US allegedly stabbed his wife to death because he was jealous of her liking the Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan, a media report said.
Dineshwar Budhidat, 33, on Friday stabbed his 27-year-old wife Donne Dojoy, who worked as a bartender. He was 'extremely jealous' because his wife was a huge fan of Hrithik, told her friends, adding her liking for the actor sent him in fits of rage.
Mala Ramdhani -- a karaoke singer where Dojoy tended bar -- said, “She told me when she was at home watching a movie or listening to a song (with Hrithik in it), he would ask her to take it off because he would get so jealous,” as quoted by PTI.

The report said that on Friday Dujoy had moved out of her apartment to stop by the place to watch a movie with Budhidat. He later that evening killed his wife and texted her sister about the same. He also instructed her that the key to the apartment can be found under the flower pot, police sources said on Friday. He then left behind his wife’s dead body and hanged himself to a tree near a field.

It added that Budhidat had assaulted Dujoy weeks after they got married in July. The latter even had an order of protection against Budhidat that came in a court case and that had led to his arrest in August for slapping and strangling her.
“I think he loved her, but at the same time, he was obsessed with her, because of the type of job she did,” Rodney, a friend of Dojoy’s, said. “She looked good, she always made her money, so he was probably jealous of her.”
Dujoy had told her friends that he was controlling and even violent at times. “She talked about him abusing her, controlling her, beating her, scaring her, threatening to kill her,” Rodney added.
Dujoy’s relative, Silvin Dojoy said, “She never took it seriously because she loved him adding that her husband was a coward.
