Vaaranam Aayiram On OTT: The Tamil-language action-romantic drama movie Vaaranam Aayiram, which originally released on November 14, 2008, was directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. The film was a commercial success and critically acclaimed. It became the biggest hit of Suriya's career at the time. Following the massive response, the movie, originally released in Tamil, was later dubbed into a Telugu version titled Surya S/O Krishnan. Now, the Suriya-starrer is set for a re-release on Valentine’s Day, making it even more special. Ahead of the re-release, here’s where you can watch the original movie on OTT platform.

The movie Vaaranam Aayiram, starring Suriya in the lead, is available on OTT platforms including Sun NXT and Amazon Prime Video. As per report by 123 Telugu, Surya S/O Krishnan is re-releasing on February 14, 2025.
About Vaaranam Aayiram Movie
Vaaranam Aayiram stars Suriya in a dual role as father and son. Directed and written by Gautham Vasudev Menon, the film tells the story of an army officer named Surya. While on a rescue mission, he learns that his father has passed away. He then reflects on his memories with his father throughout the film.
In addition to Suriya, the movie features Simran, Sameera Reddy, and Ramya in lead female roles. The supporting cast includes Deepa Narendran, Babloo Prithiveeraj, Avishek Karthik, and others in key roles.
The film became a blockbuster, shattering box office records upon its release, and is regarded as one of the best ventures by both Suriya and Gautham Menon.
Meanwhile, Suriya was last seen in the lead role in Kanguva, which also starred Bobby Deol. Directed by Siva, the film released in November 2024. Suriya is also gearing up for his upcoming movie Retro, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, which is scheduled for release on May 1, 2025, in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. The movie is backed by Stone Bench Films of Karthik and Suriya's 2D Entertainment.
