Vaazhai On OTT:  The Tamil language children's drama movie released in theatres on August 23, 2024. The film received praise from the audience and the critics. Even several top celebrities of Tamil Cinema also appreciated the film including Rajinikanth, Shankar, Mani Ratnam, Vijay Sethupathi, Silambarasan, and Sivakarthikeyan to name a few. The film was made on a budget of Rs 5 crore and it earned Rs 26.78 Crore in India.

About Vaazhai

The story revolves around the struggles of villagers whose lives are dependent upon the business centred on a banyan tree.  It also focuses on the livelihood of a twelve-year-old boy who navigates life challenges in a village where the banyan tree has a central presence. The movie stars Dhivya Dhuraisamy, Nikhila Vimal, Priyanka Nair, Kalaiyarasan, Dhivya Duraisamy and J Sathish Kumar in key roles. 

While sharing one of the posters on Instagram, director Mari Selvaraj wrote “#Vaazhai is breaking Boundaries and going Limitless!! Thank you for all your love!! Book your tickets Now!!.” The poster also featured a reference to an old photo of Rajnikanth and Kamal Haasan. 


When And Where To Watch Vaazhai

After a spectacular run at the box office, the movie is all set to release on small screens. But it is not going to premiere on Television rather it will stream on a popular OTT platform through which it can reach a wider audience. Yes, after a month of its theatrical release, fans can watch the film anytime. Vaazhai will be streaming on OTT platform Disney Plus Hotstar from September 27, 2024.
