Varun Tej Konidela is all set to captivate audiences with his powerful performance in his upcoming movie Matka. The first look of the crime drama has been out showcasing Varun in an intense look. The Telugu language movie has been directed by renowned filmmaker Karuna Kumar. In the poster, Varun Tej can be seen with an aged look as his grey hair is visible. The actor can be seen in a black suit paired with a white shirt and crimson tie. He also holds a cigar in the poster. Interestingly, the table which featured in front of him showcased his image of his younger time with a simple look but with the same style and attitude. It seems the movie will showcase his journey from ‘rags-to-riches’. 

Varun took to his social media and shared his look from Matka. He wrote, “From the depths of poverty to the pinnacle of power, Destined to dominate. About Matka

The crime drama is set between the years of the years 1958 and 1982. The movie is based on the Matka gambling scams that rocked the country in the 20th century. It also stars Meenaakshi Chaudhary, Nora Fatehi, Naveen Chandra, Kishore Kumar G, Ajay Ghosh, Vijaya Ramaraju and Ravindra Vijay in prominent roles. The makers have not announced the release date of the mega crime drama of the year yet.
