Vidaamuyarchi Box Office Collection Day 9: Ajith Kumar-Trisha Krishnan’s Tamil Movie Brings Disappointing Numbers On Second Friday

Vidaamuyarchi Box Office Collection Day 9: Ajith Kumar and Trisha Krishnan starrer Tamil action thriller movie was one of the most anticipated films of this which was expected to break several records. The movie was released in theatres on February 6 and received positive reviews from the audience and critics. The movie had a blockbuster opening of Rs 26 crores but it continued to drop drastically since the fifth day. Vidaamuyarchi again saw a slight drop on Friday.

As per Sacnilk, the movie earned Rs 1.35 crore on Day 9. The net collection of Vidaamuyarchi stands at Rs 74.10 crore. It had an overall 17.04 per cent Tamil occupancy in theatres on Friday. It had 13.63 per cent occupancy in the morning shows, 18.98 per cent in the afternoon shows, 14.87 per cent in the evening shows and 20.66 per cent in the night shows. Notably, the film had 11.11 per cent Telugu occupancy on the same day. 

First Week Collection: Rs 72.75 crore (Tami: Rs 70.75 crore, Telugu: Rs 2, Hindi: 0)

Vidaamuyarchi Budget 

According to several reports, the film was made on a budget of around Rs 225 to 350 crore. The exact figure is yet to be disclosed.

The story is about a couple, who went on a trip but a tragedy came across in their life as the wife went missing. The man is on his hunt to find his wife and fights with a villain. The movie stars Ajith Kumar, Trisha Krishnan, Regina Cassandra, Arjun Sarja, Arjun Das and Arun Vijay in key roles. It has been directed by Magizh Thirumeni and produced by Subaskaran Allirajah, GKM Tamil Kumaran. The music of the film has been directed by Anirudh Ravichander.
