Sonam Kapoor broke down in tears as she paid a moving homage to the late fashion designer Rohit Bal at a fashion event in Gurugram. On Saturday, several videos of Sonam Kapoor walking the ramp surfaced on social media. 

Sonam Kapoor was seen crying as she walked on the ramp in a video posted on Instagram. Additionally, she folded her hands to greet the crowd at Blenders Pride X FDCI Fashion Tour 2025. The actress wore a long ivory jacket elaborately embroidered over a white ensemble for the occasion. Her hair was tied in a bun, adorning red roses. For the unversed, Rohit Bal passed away in November last year at the age of 63.

Sonam Kapoor's video from the runway went viral like wildfire on social media. While many lauded the actress for her looks, others trolled her for the emotional moment she had on the stage. One of the users said, "Kuch jada ho gaya overacting ke paise kaat." Another user wrote, "She is crying and also ensuring her makeup doesn't get spoiled at the same time.. talented actress..." The third user said, "Idhar bhi ghatiya acting."

Speaking to ANI, Sonam Kapoor said, "I am so happy to be here for Gudda. I have been privileged to wear his clothes many times and to have him design clothes for me also many times. It feels wonderful to do probably his last show. The celebration of heritage, the celebration of craftsmanship... the idea is to celebrate everything beautiful and joyful. That was him. And I think in the same way, I love wearing clothes exactly like that."

Sonam Kapoor dropped pictures of her stunning look from the fashion event on Instagram. Recalling the memory of the runway, she called it both emotional and inspiring. His artistry, vision, and legacy have shaped Indian fashion in ways beyond measure.
