Yash, who gained widespread fame for his role in the KGF series, garnered both critical and commercial success, making him a household name across India. His breakthrough came with the film KGF: Chapter 1 in 2018, where he played the lead role of Rocky, a character that resonated with audiences due to its intense storyline and Yash's compelling performance. The film's success led to a highly anticipated sequel, KGF: Chapter 2, further solidifying his status as a superstar.

In addition to his work in the KGF franchise, Yash is set to portray Ravana in Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming adaptation of the Ramayana, showcasing his versatility as an actor. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Yash confirmed that KGF 3 is indeed on the way, easing the minds of his supporters. He mentioned that while he is currently focused on two other films, Toxic and Ramayana, discussions regarding KGF 3 with director Prasanth Neel are actively taking place.

"KGF 3 will happen for sure, I promise. But I am focusing on these two projects (Toxic and Ramayana) right now," Yash said. He added that conversations with KGF director Prasanth Neel are still in progress, but the timing needs to be appropriate.

He added, "We keep talking about it; we have an idea… it is massive, so it needs all our attention and focus."

Yash mentioned that they’re not hurrying to take advantage of the franchise’s success; instead, their priority is to create an even more memorable third film for the fans. "The audience has given us enough. We want to make a film they will be proud of," Yash said.

Yash In Ramayana

In addition to KGF 3, Yash has confirmed his involvement in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, where he will take on the pivotal role of the iconic villain Ravana. Discussing this new project, Yash emphasised the importance of treating the character with depth and complexity, noting that a film of this scale requires a strong ensemble of actors. He expressed that Ravana’s intricate nature makes it the most exciting role he has encountered in his career.

Yash shared that his role in Ramayana developed from conversations with Namit Malhotra of DNEG and Prime Focus. Their mutual vision for the film encouraged him to take on the part, leading him to also co-produce the project. He described the character as intriguing, highlighting the significant potential to portray it in a unique manner.

Meanwhile, Ramayana will star Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita, with pre-production already underway. The film is anticipated to release in 2025.
