All roads damaged by the recent rains in Gurugram are set to be repaired by the end of October, officials confirmed. Deputy Commissioner Ajay Kumar informed Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini about the restoration plans during a video conference on Saturday.
The Chief Minister reviewed the condition of every road in Cyber City and instructed that repair work be completed within the set deadline. He emphasised that no negligence will be tolerated and directed all departments to work in coordination to provide citizens with better road facilities.

The PWD (B&R) department has prepared an estimate of Rs 17 crore to repair 29 roads spanning 23 km. In Sector-37, HSVP will repair 46 roads covering 5.25 km for Rs 3.25 crore. In Pataudi, 72 roads totalling 13 km will be restored for Rs 9 crore.
The Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board will carry out repairs on 2 affected roads in Budhera, while HSIIDC will work on six locations in Manesar, with tenders already allocated for five sites. Municipal Corporation Gurugram has identified 110 km of roads for restoration at an estimated cost of around Rs 60 crore, aiming to fill potholes by the end of September and complete full restoration by October.
The work will begin within the next three weeks after completion of the tendering process. Officials from PWD, Municipal Corporation, HSVP, HSIIDC, NHAI, Panchayati Raj, Zila Parishad, and other departments participated in the meeting.
The announcement follows the impact of Dainik Jagran’s campaign “Abhishapt Banta Shehar”, highlighting the city’s deteriorating roads and a recent mega cleanliness drive led by the Chief Minister, aimed at improving Gurugram’s overall infrastructure and civic facilities.
