Another dengue case has been reported in Gurugram, taking the total number of cases this season to 64. Health officials confirmed that the latest patient is in stable condition and is receiving treatment at home under medical supervision.

According to the Health Department, of the total dengue cases reported so far, 25 patients required hospitalisation, 16 in government hospitals and 9 in private facilities. All admitted patients have since been discharged. The remaining 39 patients were treated through OPD services.

Meanwhile, the district has also recorded eight malaria cases.

District Malaria Officer Dr Jayprakash Rajriwal said that rapid fever surveillance teams have screened 20,17,367 homes as part of the mass fever survey. On Thursday alone, teams prepared 1,017 slides from suspected malaria patients, collected 10 samples for dengue testing, and conducted one rapid dengue test.

The survey covered 3,976 households in urban areas and 3,169 in rural areas on Thursday. Dengue larvae were detected in 56 homes, and notices were issued to four residents for mosquito breeding.
