Delhi water crisis: Amid the ongoing water crisis in the national capital, some AAP leaders on Sunday met Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena and they were assured that the matter would be taken up with the Haryana government. Among the leaders who met Saxena were Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj, AAP MP Sanjay Singh and AAP MLA Somnath Bharti.
"The monsoon is expected around June 28. The rains have already started in Shimla and Himachal Pradesh. It is a matter of one week. We have requested him to get Delhi water for this one week," Bhardwaj told the reporters following the meeting, adding that Lieutenant Governor has assured them of talking to the Haryana government regarding the matter.
The national capital continues to witness a water crisis. People in different parts of the national capital can be seen standing in long queues at water tankers to meet their requirements.

Delhi Water Crisis: Haryana Government Closed Gates Of Barrage That Releases Water, Says Atishi
Delhi Minister Atishi on Sunday said the Haryana government has closed all gates of Hathnikund Barrage that are used to release water for Delhi, and added that she will continue her indefinite hunger strike over it.
She is sitting on an indefinite hunger strike to demand water for Delhi, which is under the grip of a severe water crisis and scorching heat, entered the third day here.

Delhi Water Crisis: VK Saxena Criticised AAP Over Water Shortage
On Saturday, Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena slammed the Aam Aadmi Party over the water crisis in the national capital and alleged that the purported letter written by AAP General Secretary Pankaj Gupta to Delhi LG over the Delhi water crisis was not delivered to the LG Secretariat and an "eyewash was carried out" to orchestrate another "media-oriented drama."

AAP General Secretary Pankaj Gupta wrote a letter to the Delhi LG and sought an appointment with the Lieutenant Governor, Delhi, to discuss the matter along with AAP senior leaders, including its MPs and MLAs.
Launching an attack on the AAP-led Delhi government over the water crisis, Delhi L-G said that the same blame game is played by the government year after year.
