"After moving just a few metres, the first driver deliberately appeared on the road with malicious intent and blocked our path. He demanded money, started abusing, and even tried to hit me and even took videos of me as soon as he stepped out of his vehicle," the woman wrote in the caption of the Instagram post.

According to the woman, the driver was speaking in the local language, which made it difficult for her to understand. She even requested him to speak in Hindi, which he refused, post which the confrontation took place. “He even tried to hit me, so I recorded a video of him, and only then did he step back a little," she added.

The woman further flagged the discrimination against the people of other states in Karnataka and sought strict action against the perpetrator.

“Just because he’s local, does that give him the right to look down on us? Does that give him the full authority to discriminate against us? Does that give him the right to make demands, and harass or abuse us? He acts so boldly and fearlessly, confident that he’ll get away with it by justifying his behaviour,” the woman said.
