After the tragic suicide by a class 10 student of Delhi's St Columbus School, a similar case has been reported in Madhya Pradesh's Rewa, where a class 11 student took the extreme step, leaving behind a note accusing a male teacher of torturing him.
The police said that the 17-year-old student hanged herself at her home in Semaria on November 16. Speaking about the development in the case, Additional Superintendent of Police Aarti Singh said that the police on Thursday found a handwritten note in her notebook during the investigation.

The police said that they are examining all aspects to ascertain the cause behind the extreme step.
In Delhi, the father of the victim has claimed that the teenager was facing harassment, mockery and ill-treatment from from the teachers. The police have registered an FIR against three teachers and the headmistress. After this, they all were suspended by the school.
The family has claimed that 16-year-old Shourya Patil faced 'targeted harassment' in the days leading to the tragic incident. On the day of suicide, the father said that the victim slipped and fell on the stage during dance rehearsal, and was badly scolded and humiliated. As the boy started crying, the teacher told him, "Cry as much as you want; it doesn’t matter to me."
