A shocking case was reported in Hyderabad in which a 28-year-old woman sexually assaulted a minor boy. Police on Saturday said it has booked the woman at Jubilee Hills Police Station under the POCSO Act for "sexually assaulting" a minor boy.
According to police, the accused lured the boy before sexually assaulting him and later threatened him.
The woman works as a maid and lives in the servant quarters where the teenage boy and his mother also live.
The boy's mother lodged a complaint against the woman, based on which a case was registered under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, a police official said.
The woman has been taken into custody, and further investigation is underway.
Teacher Arrested After Eloping With 13-Year-Old Student In Surat
In another incident, a 23-year-old teacher was arrested near the Gujarat-Rajasthan border on Wednesday for eloping with her 13-year-old student. The minor boy went missing since April 25 from Surat. The two were intercepted near Raigarh village after a multi-state search led by the police team.
According to police, the woman engaged in a physical relationship with the minor multiple times during their disappearance, prompting the police to file case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Woman Gets Pregnant Allegedly By Minor
The authorities also ordered a DNA test after the woman, now five months pregnant, has claimed the minor boy is the father. Police said they travelled across several cities, including Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Delhi and Vrindavan. The CCTV footage appeared to be big proof. The footage from their Surat apartment showed the teacher leaving with the boy, suggesting premeditation.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Bhagirath Gadhvi said the teacher sexually abused the minor at various locations during their escape.
The Puna police filed a kidnapping case based on the boy’s parents' complaint. The woman faces charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for abduction and the POCSO Act for sexual exploitation.
