Several hotels in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, received a bomb threat through email on Friday, police informed. Providing the details, Srinivasulu, Circle Inspector of Tirupati East Police Station, said that an FIR has been registered and the case is being investigated from several angles.
"Three hotels received bomb threat alerts. An FIR has been registered regarding the email, and the case is being investigated from various angles. We will soon trace the culprits, and those behind the email will be identified after the investigation is completed," the official was quoted as saying by ANI.

These threats come amid the rising cases of bomb threats to Indian airlines in the recent past. At least 80 domestic and international flights operated by Indian carriers received bomb threats on Thursday. The officials have urged the passengers not to panic and said that the threats were given by tech experts. The authorities have also asked the social media platforms to gather data related to the threats, as most of the threats were through social media platforms like X and Meta.
