Andhra Pradesh: An in-charge headmistress in Andhra Pradesh's Parvathipuram district was suspended after a video went viral in which two young girls were seen massaging her feet. The incident occurred almost ten days ago in an ashram school in Moliaputt village, but it came to light after the video went viral on the multiple social media platforms. However, the authority stated that the accused has been suspended and a detailed probe has been ordered into the matter for more information. The school authority reportedly stated that the teacher was appointed headmistress after the transfer of the usual headmaster, adding that her conduct in the past was not controversial.

In the viral video, the teacher is seen talking over a phone call as two young girls massaged her feet while sitting on the ground. The incident occurred at one of the residential tribal schools in Moliaputt, where around 300 students study, reported the Times of India.

Upon receiving the complaint, the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) project officer of Seetampeta suspended the teacher and stated that a detailed inquiry has been ordered into the matter. He further stated that further action will be taken based on findings of the detailed report, adding that the authority would not tolerate such behaviour.

While reacting to the incident, the opposition party YSRCP stated that the teacher had insulted the sanctity of the teaching profession, adding that education has been reduced to mockery under the current TDP government.

“At Bandapalli Girls Tribal Ashram School in Meliyaputti mandal, Srikakulam district, a teacher shamelessly made two young girl students massage her feet while she sat arrogantly talking on her cellphone. The disgraceful act, exposed belatedly, has enraged parents and locals," YSRCP stated in a post on X.

"Instead of shaping young minds, this teacher humiliated her students and insulted the sanctity of the teaching profession. Such behaviour reflects the utter moral decay spreading through the education system. This is what is happening under @naralokesh’s so-called leadership, where education has been reduced to a mockery under his careless supervision,” the party added in its post.
