Union minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Monday said he is shifting to Zoho, the homegrown platform for documents, spreadsheets and presentations. Sharing the news about the change, Viashnaw urged everyone to switch to 'Swadeshi' products and services.
In a post on X, the Minister for IT, Railways and Information and Broadcasting said, "I am moving to Zoho - our own Swadeshi platform for documents, spreadsheets, and presentations."
Vaishnaw also exhorted others to join Prime Minister Narendra Modi's clarion call for Swadeshi and adopt indigenous products and services.
His post was shared by Zoho Founder Sridhar Vembu, who responded to Vaishnaw by thanking him. He said that it was a huge morale boost for the company's engineers.

Vembu said, "This is a huge morale boost for our engineers who have worked hard for over two decades to build our product suite. We will make you proud and make our nation proud."
The central government, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has been emphaising on the development of an environment for indigenous manufacturing and production across sectors.
In wake of the recent fee hike on the H1-B visas by the Donald Trump administration, PM Modi has given a new impetus to Swadeshi and Atmanirbhar Bharat.
After Trump signed the executive order raising the fee per application for H1-B visa to $100,000, PM Modi on Saturday pushed for self-reliance.

During an event in Gujarat's Bhavnagar, the PM stated that the biggest enemy of India is its dependence on othe nations. "Duniya mein koi hamara bada dushman nahi hai. Agar hamara koi dushman hai toh woh hai dusre deshon par hamari nirbharta...," he said.
On September 21, he addressed the nation on the eve of rollout of GST reforms, PM Modi gave a clarion call to the people to adopt 'Swadeshi' by preferring 'Made in India' products.
