Bengal Assembly Ruckus: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), saying the Bengal BJP is against the discussion in the assembly on attacks on migrants, as incidents are happening in states ruled by the saffron party. She made the remark after the BJP MLAs began raising slogans as the chief minister was about to speak on the resolution. The House witnessed an ugly scene when BJP chief whip Shankar Ghosh was marshalled out of the West Bengal Assembly.
The BJP MLA was also suspended from the assembly for the rest of the day for creating a ruckus during a discussion on a government resolution over "atrocities" against Bengali migrants.
