Bengal Weather: Light Rain Forecast For Southern Districts Amid Low Pressure Area | Check Update For Kolkata

Bengal Weather: The Alipore Meteorological Department has alerted about a low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal which will develop into a distinct low pressure area and move northwestwards in the next 24 hours. In this regard, light rain is expected to lash South Bengal districts. Rough sea is also likely during this time.

South Bengal Weather

As per the weather body, South Bengal will witness dry conditions for the next few days. Some areas including South 24 Parganas may witness light to moderate rain with thunderstorms on Friday. The coastal districts will see cloudy conditions. Occasional light rain is also possible during this time.

North Bengal Weather

Rain activity has completely stopped in North Bengal districts. However, fog can be seen in the early morning and evening hours in districts including Darjeeling and Kalimpong. North Bengal districts will see a temperature drop by 2 to 3 degrees in the next two days, as per the weather body.

Kolkata Weather Update

The minimum temperature in Kolkata stood at 21.4 degrees Celsius, 0.8 degrees below normal on Tuesday. The maximum temperature was 30 degrees on Monday. The City of Joy will not witness any major weather change in the coming days.
