Bengaluru: 27-Year-Old Woman Kills Two Children, Later Dies By Suicide At Home

A 27-year-old woman died by suicide after killing her two children at their home, police said on Friday. The victims were identified as Vijayalakshmi and her two children, aged one and four.

The family was originally from Raichur district but lived in Bengaluru, where the woman’s husband worked at a mall.

Police believe a dispute with her husband might have prompted her to take this drastic action.

The incident happened on Thursday evening in the Bagalagunte area, where all three were found hanging in a room.

Citing preliminary investigation, police suspect that the woman allegedly strangled her children before hanging herself from the ceiling fan.

However, no suicide note has been recovered, police said, adding that further investigation is underway.
