Bengaluru Audi Accident: A speeding Audi car rammed into a gearless scooter from behind near the Chikkajala Junction in Bengaluru, Karnataka, leaving one dead and two others injured. The collision resulted in the death of the scooter rider on the spot, while his wife and minor daughter sustained injuries.
The deceased has been identified as 40-year-old Mahesh Kumar. His wife, Kala M (35), and their minor daughter have been admitted to a hospital in an injured state. Both the husband and wife worked at a garment factory.
The family hailed from Hunasamaranahalli. All three were returning home after attending a wedding reception when the accident occurred.
Police Hunt For Accused Underway
The fatal road accident prompted police to register a case and launch an investigation. According to police, CCTV footage shows the Audi car involved in the accident, but the vehicle's license plate is not clearly visible. The investigating officer said they were attempting to identify the vehicle using other technical methods.
"We have registered a case. The process to trace the owner of the Audi car is underway. Soon, the accused will be arrested," they said.
Second Accident in Devanahalli
Another road accident occurred at Kote Cross in Devanahalli. In this incident, a speeding car ran over a motorcyclist, killing the rider. The deceased has been identified as M Shekhar. He was a driver by profession and had visited Nileri village (his in-laws' home) to meet his wife and nine-month-old son. The accident took place while he was on his way back.
The police have registered a case against the accused car driver, Muralidharan Siddharth—a resident of Kanakapura Road—and have seized his car (KA-01-MG-5306). Further investigations into both cases are underway.
