The Burnt Body of a 13-year-old, who went missing days ago, was found at a deserted area along Kaggalipura Road in Bengaluru. Nishchith, who was an 8th-grade student at Christ School, went missing on Wednesday from  Arekere 80 Feet Road. According to the police, Nishchith did not return after he left for tuition at 5 pm on Wednesday. 

The family started looking for him after he did not return till 7:30. When his tuition teacher was inquired about the whereabouts, she informed that Nishchith had left for home at the scheduled time.

Nishchith's parents found his bicycle near the Arekere family park while they were searching for him, as per the police. His father, JC Achit, is an assistant professor at a private college.

The Hulimavu police station filed a missing person and kidnapping complaint after the parents informed that they had received an unknown call demanding Rs 5 lakh as ransom to free their son.  

The burnt body of the 13-year-old was recovered on Thursday as police launched an extensive search operation based on the phone location, used to call parents for ransom. A late-night shootout near Kaggalipura Road on Thursday led to the arrest of two suspects. 

One of the arrested suspects, Gurumurthy, was a spare driver at the victim's home, was familiar with the family and is believed to be the mastermind behind the crime.

Both the accused, Gurumurthy and Gopal Krishna, were injured after police shot them in the legs when they tried to attack police during arrest.
