Kerala News: A 39-year-old man from Kerala was found hanging in his rented apartment in Bengaluru’s Hulimavu area on Sunday. The deceased, identified as Vishnu C P from Thiruvananthapuram, was a medical transcriptionist employed with a healthcare company.

According to police, Vishnu was discovered hanging inside the bathroom of his Yelenahalli flat around 11 AM. He was immediately taken to St John’s Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. No suicide note was recovered from the scene, officers said.

According to a Deccan Herald report, Vishnu reportedly shared the flat with two women working in private firms. His family, however, has alleged that he was being harassed by his flatmates. Vishnu’s brother, Jishnu C P, claimed that the women had been troubling his brother for some time.

Based on Jishnu’s complaint, the Hulimavu police have registered a case of abetment to suicide against the two women. One of them has been detained for questioning, and an investigation is currently underway. The post-mortem report is awaited to confirm the cause of death.

In a separate news, a 21-year-old NEET aspirant from Rampur, identified as Mohammad Aan, died by suicide at a hostel in Kanpur’s Rawatpur area on Friday. Police said he had checked in only four days earlier. His roommate, Imad Hasan, discovered the incident after returning from Friday prayers and finding their room locked from inside. When officers broke open the door, they found Mohammad hanging from the ceiling. A note recovered nearby stated that he was under immense stress and unable to fulfil his parents’ dreams, asking for their forgiveness. The body has been sent for post-mortem, and his family has been informed.
