Bengaluru Metro: A technical issue at the Whitefield (Kadugodi) metro station led to a temporary halt of train services between Whitefield and ITPL on Sunday morning, September 29. The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) reported that operations were suspended from 8:25 AM to 8:55 AM, coinciding with peak travel times.

To minimise disruption, BMRCL implemented short-loop train services on the Purple Line, maintaining connectivity between Challaghatta and ITPL Metro stations. Normal service resumed across the entire Purple Line by 8:55 AM.

While the Purple Line faced a brief interruption, services on the Green Line continued without any issues, according to BMRCL officials.

Although the service suspension may have caused some inconvenience, it was mitigated by the fact that Sunday typically sees fewer commuters, as many IT professionals were on their weekly day off. BMRCL is committed to ensuring reliable services and is investigating the cause of the glitch.
