Bengaluru Namma Metro Update: The construction of the much-awaited Red Line of Bengaluru Namma Metro is likely to commence in December 2025 and is expected to be finished in the next five years. The metro line has already got the approval from the state government; however, it is yet to get the green signal from the central government. The metro line will pass through a total of 28 stations, including some of the key areas of the silicon city, such as Koramangala, Dairy Circle, Town Hall, and Hebbal. The metro route is likely to provide significant convenience to the residents of these areas by cutting the travel time and reducing the traffic congestion.

While providing further details, the authority had stated that the red line will connect Hebbal in the north to Sarjapur in the southeast, two of the key areas of the city.
