Bengaluru Namma Metro Yellow Line Inaugurated: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated the much-awaited Yellow Line of Bengaluru’s Namma Metro. The 19.2 km line connecting RV Rod to Bommasandra has 16 stations.

The line is crucial for the city and will change the travel habits of the commuters for good as the corridor connects key industrial sites and the IT hub, among others.

The Yellow Line will be crucial in shaping the travel experience in the city as it connects to the Green Line at RV Road, which will make travelling to the west and west easy from South Bengaluru without being trapped in traffic congestion.

This will further reduce congestion and provide a link to all parts of the city after the under-construction Pink Line and future Blue Line connect at Jayadeva Hospital and Central Silk Board stations, respectively.

After full metro network operationalisation, the Yellow Line will act as a nerve for those travelling to the IT corridor, the airport, and the central business districts.
