Bengaluru Power Cut: An electricity shutdown has been announced by the Bangalore Electricity Distribution Company (BESCOM) for Friday, December 26 in view of emergency maintenance work. The works will be carried out by KPTCL.

As per BESCOM, supply will be impacted within the 66/11 KV Chandra Layout Substation area from 10 am to 5 pm.

Bengaluru Power Cut Areas

RPC Layout, Remco Layout, Kalyan Layout, Subbanna Garden, Vidya Layout, M.R.C.R. Layout, Chandra Layout, Bapuji Layout, Vinayak Layout, Moodalapalya, Skyline Apartment, Canara Bank Colony, Vidyagiri Layout, Gangondanahalli, Suvarna Layout, BDA 13 and 14 Block, Kengute, Bhairaveshwaranagar, Nagarbavi Coconut Garden, Cauvery Layout, SVG Garden, Sanjeevini Nagar, NGEF Layout, Kalyannagar and surrounding areas will experience power supply disruptions, BESCOM said in a statement.

Kattigenahalli Power Cut

Additionally, BESCOM has altered that there will be a supply cut in multiple places within the 66/11 KV Kattigenahalli Power Station from 11 am to 4 pm. Affected areas include - North Gate 1,2,3, Embassy, Philips Company, Dwarkanagar, Babanagar, Kattigenahalli Sarding, Bagalur Cross, and Bagalur Main Road, Manipal College, BSF, PDMS, Bagalur Cross Vinayaknagar and surrounding areas.

Bengaluru Power Cut Today

BESCOM has announced a shutdown in multiple areas of Bengaluru on December 25, Christmas, in view of scheduled maintenance and infrastructural works. BESCOM has urged residents to plan their day in advance to avoid inconvenience.

Bengaluru Power Cut Timings

The shutdown will take place in Bengaluru from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The supply will be restored if works are completed ahead of schedule.
