Bengaluru Power Cut: BESCOM Announces Shutdown On October 9 And 10; Check List Of Areas

Bengaluru Power Cut: The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) has announced a shutdown in multiple areas in Bengaluru on October 9 and 10 (Thursday and Friday) in view of maintenance work.

Several neighbourhoods under BESCOM's South and East divisions are expected to face power outages. The initiative aims to strengthen the power infrastructure and ensure a more reliable electricity supply across Bengaluru in the long run. As part of the work, BESCOM will upgrade transmission lines, replace aging transformers, and remove overgrown vegetation near power grids.

In the next 24 hours, weather in Bengaluru and surrounding areas is likely to remain generally cloudy. During this time, light to moderate rain/thunderstorms can hit a few areas. Temperatures will hover between 20 degrees Celsius and 30 degrees Celsius.

However, next week, the city will witness moderate rain activity in isolated places. Bengaluru will witness more rain after October 15. The rains are expected to help relieve residents from overall water shortage, which is a major problem.
