Bengaluru Power Cut August 17: Bengaluru is set to experience scheduled power cuts across multiple parts of the city on Sunday, August 17, as the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) carries out emergency maintenance work. The outages will affect both residential and commercial zones for several hours.
Bengaluru Power Cut: Maintenance Work Across Substations
The power cuts are being planned across different substations, including 220/66/11 kV HAL substation, 220/66 kV A station and 66/11 kV Victoria Station. According to officials, the shutdowns are necessary to undertake urgent repair and maintenance tasks to ensure safe and uninterrupted supply in the long term.
Bengaluru Power Cut On August 17: Timings
The outage schedule will vary depending on the location, with some areas facing disruptions from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM, while others will remain without power from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Bengaluru Power Cut August 17: Areas Affected Around HAL Substation
The HAL substation will remain shut between 8 AM and 11 AM on Sunday. The following neighbourhoods will be impacted during this period:
ISRO Marathahalli and NAL, Bagmane Tech Park, GTAR, WTC, 220 kV Hall EHT, Indiranagar – Defence Colony, 100 Feet Road, Indiranagar 1st and 2nd Phase, 80 Feet Road, CMH Road, Krishna Temple Road H-Colony, Jeevan Bhimnagar – Geetanjali Layout, Hulleri, 12th Main Road, Jeevan Bhimnagar, BDA Layout, LIC Colony, Thippasandra, Ramesh Nagar, Defence, Tata Housing, Dynasty, BEML, ADA, Maleshpalya, Marutinagar, Kallappa Layout, Rajanna and LN Reddy Colony, Basavanagar, Annasandrapalya, Vivuthipura, Jain Heights, Vishwajit Layout, Adarsh Villa, Kuvempu Road, Krishnappa Garden, Airport Road, Texas, IAM, Marathahalli, Doddanekundi, Court Quarters and surrounding areas.
Outages in 220/66 kV A Station Zone
Another major disruption will occur within the 220/66 kV A station supply area, with power cuts scheduled from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The following localities are expected to be affected:
TCS, Holiday Inn, Seshadri Road, Kuruba Sangha Circle, 1st Main Road Gandhinagar and 1st Cross, parts of 2nd Cross, Crescent Road, Karnataka Nyayik Academy, two Ministers’ Quarters, West End Hotel, Karnataka Power Corporation, Farfield Layout, LLR BWSSB, Sivananda Park, Seshadripuram, Vinayaka Circle, Foreign Minister and Home Minister’s Quarters, Kumar Park East, Cauvery Bhavan, KHB, BWSSB, Khajana Bhavan, Cinema Theatres in Gandhinagar, Tank Bund Road, SC Road, parts of KGR Road, Hospital Road, Laxmanpuri (Tolithoti), 6th Cross and 10th Cross Kubbanpet, Load Dispatch Centre, KPTCL offices in Anand Rao Circle, Race Course, Chief Secretary Quarters, Avinash Petrol Bunk in Vasanthnagar, PWD Office, Police Quarters, Brigade Plaza, Madhavnagar, Tulsithota, Chalukya Circle, BWSSB Water Pump, High Grounds, RT Road, KR Circle, Majestic, KG Road, BVK Iyengar Road, Chikkapet, Cottonpet, Bannappa Park, City Street, Chaulagalli and surrounding localities.

Victoria Station Supply Shutdown
The 66/11 kV Victoria Station will also undergo maintenance between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm. This will lead to outages in several central areas, including:

Lane, Kalasipalya Main Road, MTB Road, Kumbara Gundy Road, Shivaji Road, City Market Complex, BVK Iyengar Road, Grain Bazaar Road, Nagarath Town, Tigalarapet, N.R.
