Bengaluru Power Shutdown On June 22: The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) on Thursday stated that several areas of Bengaluru will witness power cuts on June 21 and June 22 due to the maintenance work. The authority clarified that the power outage will be conducted just for a few hours, adding that the step is taken to boost the power infrastructure of the city. BESCOM further advised the residents to follow the guidelines and plan their day accordingly to avoid any inconveniences. Apart from Saturday and Sunday, the residents of several key regions also witnessed power outages on Friday due to the repair work.
"Due to emergency maintenance work by KPTCL at the Mahalaxmi Layout Substation in Bengaluru, there will be a disruption in power supply across several areas under the N-7 sub-division of the Peenya division on Friday, June 20, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM,” BESCOM stated in its advisory.
