Greater Noida: A 28-year-old Noida man and his 25-year-old friend died in Greater Noida after he lost control of a Ducati motorcycle, which crashed into a barricade wall and then plunged into a pit.

A tragic accident occurred near Char Murti Chowk in Greater Noida West around 1:56 a.m. on Tuesday, near the Gaur City underpass. CCTV footage of the incident has since emerged, showing the motorcycle approaching at high speed, crashing into a barricade, and then plunging into a 7-foot-deep construction site.

The Victim identified as Ankur Singh had picked up his friend Kashish from her housing complex for a bike ride. The Ducati Scrambler was reportedly being driven at high speed when Ankur lost control near the Char Murti roundabout, where an underpass is under construction. Barricades had been placed around the site, but the bike crashed into them before plunging into the pit.

CCTV footage of the accident shows the Ducati first crashing into two barricades placed to separate the two sides of the road, causing the bike to fall on its side. Both the bike and its riders then slide at high speed toward a wall of barricades before plunging into a pit approximately seven to eight feet deep.

According to police, neither rider was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Despite the severe impact, the Ducati Scrambler, a high-end motorcycle valued at around Rs 9 lakh, remained largely undamaged. Tragically, both Ankur and Kashish died on the spot due to the force of the collision. The pit they fell into had been excavated for an underpass as part of a road project. Although iron railings had been installed around the site as a safety measure, the bike broke through them during the crash.
