In another news, a woman was allegedly sexually harassed, assaulted and abused in broad daylight near Bengaluru on Sunday. The incident took place in Renuka Yellamma Layout near Mailasandra, about 12 km from the city centre and was captured on CCTV.

Around 4 PM, the woman had stepped out to buy groceries when a group of men approached and started following her. CCTV footage shows them blocking her path, trying to speak to her and touching her inappropriately. One of the men was seen slapping her when she resisted and attempted to walk away.

According to police, the men allegedly attacked her when she defended herself. She was later rescued by locals and a friend. However, in a surprising turn, her friend, a gym trainer, was arrested for allegedly assaulting one of the accused during the rescue.
