Bengaluru: The Railway Department has commenced construction of a bridge on the railway parallel road from Benniganahalli to Kasturinagar, within the limits of KR Pura Traffic Police Station. Due to this construction, traffic movement on this stretch will be prohibited for 90 days starting from June 14. To maintain smooth traffic flow, the following restrictions will be enforced. Commuters traveling through East Bengaluru are advised to plan their routes accordingly.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic East), Sahil Bagla, issued a traffic advisory stating that the diversion is essential for public safety and the smooth progress of the construction work.

Restricted Roads
All types of vehicular traffic will be temporarily restricted on Coca Cola Godown Road, from Benniganahalli (Sadanandanagar Bridge) to Old Madras Road.
Alternative Route
For vehicles traveling from Old Madras Road near Benniganahalli Railway Bridge towards Kasturinagar: Please use the bypass route via Hebbal Ring Road to reach Kasturinagar.
For vehicles traveling from Kasturinagar towards Old Madras Road: Please take the route from Sadanandanagar via NGEF Signal to reach Old Madras Road.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic East), Sahil Bagla, has urged commuters to follow the new routes and obey the signs and directions provided by traffic police during this period.
The railway bridge construction is expected to continue for approximately three months.

To address public concerns and gather feedback, a ‘Traffic Connection Day’ event is being held today (Saturday, June 14) at 11 AM at the KR Puram Traffic Police Station. Residents are invited to share complaints, suggestions, and solutions related to traffic issues within the station’s jurisdiction.
