Bengaluru Traffic Police issued a traffic advisory ahead of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) versus Delhi Capital (DC) match on May 12. The IPL match between RCB and DC is scheduled to be played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, located on MG Road adjacent to Cubbon Park. The match will start at 7:30 pm and to facilitate a smooth commute around the stadium area, the traffic police has issued a detailed advisory. 

To ensure an uninterrupted flow of traffic, the advisory, effective from 3 pm to 11 pm on match day, stated parking restrictions and alternative parking arrangements. ''In view of IPL cricket match in Chinnaswamy stadium, Bengaluru City Traffic arrangements have been made to ensure smooth flow of traffic on May 12, 2024 from 3 pm to 11 pm,'' the traffic advisory read.

Motorists are advised to avoid parking along key roads such as Queens Road, MG Road, Cubbon Road, Rajbhavan Road, Central Street, St Marks Road, Museum Road, Kasturiba Road, Ambedkar Veedi, Trinity Junction, Lavelle Road, Vittal Malya Road, Kings Road and Nrupathunga Road.

For those attending the game or travelling in the area, designated parking spaces are available at St Joseph Indian School Ground, UB City Parking lot, BMTC TTMC Shivajinagara (1st Floor), OLD KGID Building and within Cubbon Park on Kings Road, the Bengaluru Traffic Police stated.

The Bengaluru traffic police urged the commuters to adhere to the advisory and cooperate with the measures put in place to minimise congestion and ensure public safety during this much-awaited clash between the two teams, who are looking for a win to get into the IPL playoffs. Spectators and commuters alike are encouraged to plan their routes accordingly to avoid any inconvenience.
