Bengaluru Weather Update: With continued rainfall resulting in a flood-like situation in several Bengaluru neighbourhoods, the weather conditions in the city remain unsettled. The India Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for the city, warning of heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning.

Heavy downpours are affecting the city and surrounding areas due to the aftereffects of Cyclone Shakthi, with further rain expected until October 14, impacting daily life and causing traffic and power disruptions.

Bengaluru is experiencing severe weather conditions today, characterized by heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and strong winds, as forecast by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

A yellow alert has been issued for the city due to the intense weather, which is expected to persist over the weekend. The IMD attributes the extreme weather to the lingering effects of Cyclone Shakthi, which has brought incessant rainfall to the region, affecting normal life and causing waterlogging and traffic disruptions in several areas.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Bengaluru and surrounding areas, warning of heavy rainfall with totals potentially exceeding 100 mm in certain parts of the city and nearby regions, particularly affecting Malnad and South Interior Karnataka.

- Yellow Alert : Tumkur, Shivamogga, Mysore, Mandya, Kodagu, Davangere, Chamarajanagar, Bangalore Rural, Bangalore Urban, and Dakshina Kannada
