Bengaluru Weather: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rain, thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds in Bengaluru till May 31. Additionally, the weather body has issued a red alert for Karnataka for two days, on May 26 and 27, Monday and Tuesday. With the onset of monsoon, several states in India are witnessing heavy rain, including Karnataka, Maharashtra, Kerala, and Goa. Bengaluru is likely to experience winds in the range of 30 and 40 kmph during this period. The weather is expected to cause traffic congestion in the city. The maximum temperature in Bengaluru is likely to hover between 25 and 27 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature will be around 19 and 20 degrees Celsius.
“The Southwest Monsoon has further advanced into some more parts of westcentral & eastcentral Arabian Sea, some more parts of Karnataka, entire Goa, some parts of Maharashtra, some more parts of westcentral and north Bay of Bengal, and some more parts of Mizoram, some parts of Manipur and Nagaland today, the May 25 2025,” IMD, Bengaluru said in its bulletin.

Light to moderate rain with sustained winds (40-50 kmph) likely to occur at most places Ballari, Bengaluru (Rural), Bengaluru (Urban), Chikkaballapura, Chitradurga, Davanagere, Kolar, Ramanagara, Tumakuru and Vijayanagara districts.
