Bengaluru Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday stated that several districts of Karnataka, including the capital city Bengaluru, are likely to witness light to moderate rainfall for the next few days. The weather department stated that the residents of Bengaluru are expected to receive light rain along with cloudy skies and gentle breezes for the next few days. While the rainfall is likely to reduce the temperature by two to four degrees Celsius, it might also lead to waterlogging in different parts of the city, leading to inconveniences. The weather department has also advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences.
While providing details, the weather department stated that while the maximum temperature is likely to be calculated at 27 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is expected to remain around 21 degrees Celsius. It further stated that the residents will witness cloudy skies for most parts of the day, keeping the temperature mild. Apart from this, the IMD also stated that the humidity level is likely to hover around 91 per cent. The continuous rainfall might lead to power cuts in some areas and traffic disruptions in some key regions.
"Scattered to widespread moderate rain and isolated heavy rain with strong winds accompanied by thundershowers across the state today & tomorrow. Rain activity is likely to decrease in the remaining days," Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) stated in a post on X (formerly Twitter). The weather department has advised the residents to stay indoors and limit their outings for the next few days.
Apart from Karnataka, several other states, including Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Kerala, are also likely to witness light to heavy rainfall for the next few days.
