Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Friday made a lighthearted joke about Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) member Raghav Chadha regarding his wedding to actor Parineeti Chopra later this month.
The Punjab CM and former comedian took a playful dig at the Rajya Sabha member during a meeting of industry leaders at Ludhiana. Mann said that Chadha’s list of responsibilities will expand since his marriage is right around the corner.
The chief minister added that it had nothing to do with the party and its responsibilities and asked everyone to congratulate the young parliament member for the special moment, as reported by NDTV.
Chadha later shared the pictures of the event on his official X handle. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was also present during the event. "AAP government in Punjab, under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann, is actively working to create a pro-industry and pro-business environment in the state," he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Raghav Chadha and Parineeti Chopra’s wedding festivities will reportedly begin on September 17, with an ‘ardaas’ in Delhi. The couple got engaged in May this year are are set for their grand wedding.

Following the Ardaas, the couple will reportedly go to Rajasthan’s Udaipur for a grand wedding ceremony starting on September 23. Most of the pre-wedding celebrations are likely to take place in the Leela Palace, Udaipur. The wedding ceremony will take place on September 24 at the Taj Lake Palace.

The couple will reportedly have a reception in Taj Chandigarh on September 30, as reported by Times of India. Major politicians including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Bhagwant Mann, and others are likely to attend the wedding ceremony.
The wedding ceremony will also be attended by various Bollywood actors and also global superstars including Parineeti Chopra.
