Chaitanyananda Sexual Harassment Case: As cases of sexual harassment and molestation against Chaitanyananda Saraswati began to unfold, an old FIR, dated 2016, of a woman has come to the fore, who described the self-styled godman as having ‘vulture-like eyes’ on her.
In her complaint in 2016, she had said that the 62-year-old Chaitanyananda Saraswati, alias Swami Parthasarathy, had sent her obscene texts and called her "baby" and "sweet girl". In her FIR, the woman accused Chaitanyananda, the former director of the Sharada Institute of Indian Management, of being the main reason she dropped out of the college.
"It was the most difficult period of my life. As soon as I joined the institute, Baba started sending me obscene messages. He called me ‘baby’ and ‘sweet girl.’ After classes ended at 6:30 pm, he would call me to his office and harass me," she added.
Chaitanyananda even offered her an educational trip to Dubai free of cost because of her ‘talent’. The woman said that she categorically denied any favours advanced by the Baba. However, Baba’s personal staff had continuously put pressure on her. In retaliation, the Baba ‘confiscated’ her mobile phone and forced her to ‘live alone’ in the hostel.
She further alleged that Chaitanyananda had offered to take her out for dinner and had even tried to touch her ‘inappropriately’ on many occasions. Recalling those harrowing days, the woman said, "Baba told me to come with him to Mathura. But I didn't go and run away, leaving all my belongings in the hostel without telling anyone.”

She said the students connected to him approached her and began pressuring her to return. "Baba had given them my phone number and address, but my father drove them away," she added. Chaitanyananda Saraswati is currently absconding, and an FIR has been filed by the Delhi Police against him.
Earlier, the Patiala house court on Friday passed an order rejecting the anticipatory bail of Chaitanyananda Saraswati. He had sought anticipatory bail in a case of financial irregularities lodged against him.
