“This multi-storey building at Guindy will not be as large as the one at Broadway. However, we are planning an interchange hub for intra-city and inter-city buses, along with bus bays and a combination of retail and commercial spaces on the upper floors. We will also provide adequate parking facilities for two-wheelers and four-wheelers," one of the officials was quoted as saying by The Hindu.

"Since this land parcel in Guindy is fairly close to the airport and on the flight approach path, we must get a height clearance from the Airports Authority of India (AAI), and then decide on the number of floors we can build. We are currently thinking of constructing six to seven floors,” he added.

The officials also stated that several steps will be taken in the upcoming months to boost the regional connectivity and to provide relief to the commuters.
