Power Shutdown Areas In Chennai: The Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited (TANGEDCO) stated that several locations in Chennai will face a power outage on Saturday (February 15). It stated that the power outage will take place due to ongoing maintenance work. Providing details, it said that the major affected areas will be Ambattur, East Mogappair, and Red Hills.

The TANGEDCO stated that the power outage in these areas will be suspended from 9 am to 2 pm on Saturday due to the ongoing maintenance works. However, the authority assured that power supply in these regions will be restored before the mentioned time if the work is completed. The authority further urged the residents to plan their day accordingly as the power supply is expected to get affected for 5 hours.

Power Outage On February 15 From 9 AM To 2 PM (Saturday):

TANGEDCO stated that several areas of Ambattur, including Chinna Colony, Periya Colony, PKM Road, Prince Apartment, Ganesh Street, and Nageshwara 3rd Cross Street are expected to face power outage on Saturday. Apart from this, Srinivasa Nagar, Bakkiathammal Nagar, Periyar Main Road, Olympic Colony, Akshaya Colony, Kamarajar Street, Mohanram Nagar, Bharathidasan Nagar, Kongu Nagar, VGP Nagar, and Panneer Nagar of East Mogappair are also likely to face power outage today.

The authority further informed that multiple areas of Red Hills, including MGR Nagar, Muthumariamman Street, Asai Thabi Street, Muvendhar Street, Church Street, Kamarajar Nagar, Nethaji Nagar, Alamaram Area, and Gandhi Nagar are likely to face power cut for 5 hours today.

Apart from this the authority also announced power outage in several areas of the city on February 14. It stated that several areas of Ayyapakkam, including TNHB Ayyapakkam Phase 1,2, ICF Colony, Thiruverkadu Main Road, TNHB Plot No 7,000 to 10,000 TNHB Plot 6,000 to 7,000 and MGR Puram Road will face the power cut on Friday.

Apart from this Ponniamman Nagar, Metro City Phase 2, Kasthuri Nagar, Agragaram of Ambattur, and TVS Colony, TVS Main Road, TVS Avenue, Devar Nagar of JJ Nagar also faced power outage on Friday.
