Vande Bharat Express: A doctor travelling on the Vande Bharat Express shared an extraordinary experience with the Indian Railways after he recovered his lost wristwatch within minutes of filing an online complaint. The incident, which took place on a train journey to Chennai Egmore, has impressed social media users and drawn praise for the railway authorities’ quick response.
The doctor said he realised he had forgotten his wristwatch in the train’s restroom only after reaching home late at night. Wasting no time, he logged into the RailMadad portal around 12:28 AM to report the lost item by submitting his PNR number.
Complaint Resolved Within Minutes
In a detailed post shared on X (formerly Twitter), the doctor described the promptness of the system. “Within three minutes of filing the complaint, I got a call from the railway helpline confirming the details,” he wrote.
By 12:49 AM, he received another call from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) informing him that the train had been moved to the yard and that they were initiating a search for the missing item.
