A third-year male student from a private engineering institute in Chhattisgarh was suspended for creating vulgar images of female students using artificial intelligence (AI). According to female students of the International Institute of Information Technology, the accused created more than 30 such images.
The accused, a resident of Bilaspur, was studying in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at a college located in Naya Raipur, Chhattisgarh. According to an NDTV report, 1,000 photos and videos were recovered from him. The institute's registrar, professor Srinivas said that the case came to light after some female students complained on October 6.

Following the incident, a probe committee was formed, and staff members conducted a search of the accused student's room.“A three-member staff committee, comprised of women, has been formed to investigate,” Srinivas said.
Srinivas stated that the student's phone, laptop, and pen drive were seized during the search. He also mentioned that the parents of the complainants were being questioned as part of the investigation. “Further action is being taken to ensure that no personal information is leaked,” Srinivas said.
According to the report, college authorities have consulted cyber experts to determine whether the images were digitally created and to assess whether any of the content was circulated beyond the campus.
Meanwhile, the police stated they are awaiting a formal written complaint before launching an official investigation.
Ashish Rajput, the officer in charge of Rakhi Police Station, confirmed that preliminary discussions had taken place with the college administration. “We are currently verifying the facts. A formal investigation will commence once a written complaint is filed,” he said.
The female students who reported the incident have called for strict action against the accused. In response, the college administration has assured them that appropriate disciplinary measures will be implemented.
