A DEEP Depression that had formed in the Bay of Bengal has turned into a cyclonic storm overnight, IMD officials informed on Thursday morning. The storm is also expected to bring heavy rainfall to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, officials quoted by news agency PTI informed. The storm is currently 510 kilometers southwest of Port Blair, capital of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Indian Meteorological Department said.
