Dehradun Airport Bomb Threat: A bomb threat at Dehradun Airport caused a stir on Monday after a message was received on the airport's official X handle at 11:56 AM. The report indicated that a bomb was placed in a black bag in the bathroom of the terminal building.
In response, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel quickly evacuated the terminal and initiated an extensive search operation, which lasted about an hour and a half, in collaboration with a bomb disposal squad. No suspicious objects were found.
During the incident, no flights were arriving at the airport, so air services remained unaffected. This incident marks the first time a bomb threat has been reported specifically in the terminal building, although there have been five previous reports concerning flights arriving at the airport.
Prabhakar Mishra, the General Manager of Jolly Grant Airport, confirmed that the threat was reported by an individual named Rohan Singh. This incident marks the first time a bomb threat has been reported in the terminal building, although there have been five prior reports concerning bombs in flights arriving at the airport. In those previous instances, searches also found no suspicious items.
