Air India on Friday announced it to relocate its 60 out of 180 domestic flights to upgraded Terminal 2 (T2) of Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport from October 26.

The airline also announced that shift all the domestic operations of Air India Express to the newly renovated and upgraded Terminal 1 (T1). All the international flights, however, will continue to operate from Terminal 3 (T3). The adjustments in domestic flights have been announced to support the expansion activities at T3.

In a statement, Air India said, "Starting 26th October 2025, Air India and Air India Express will adjust their domestic operations at Delhi Airport to support T3 expansion activities."

The airline also advised passengers to keep a tab on their flight information via the airline's website. "Passengers are advised to keep their contact details updated and check flight/terminal info via our websites, apps, or 24x7 support," Air India stated.

In order to avoid any possible confusion to the passengers, Air India flights from Delhi's T2 will be renumbered in four digits with the prefix '1' (AI1XXX).

For the passengers booking Air India flights for or after October 26 will be clearly notified that their flight operates from T2. Similarly, the passengers booking Air India Express domestic flights for travel from/to Delhi will also receive notifications to board from T1.

For those passengers who booked Air India Express flights with connections and carrying boarding passes for their onward flights, will be able to transfer from terminal T1, T2 and T3.

"Any through-checked baggage for these guests will be seamlessly transferred airside, eliminating the need to collect and recheck baggage during terminal transfers", the statement read.

The Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) will provide a shuttle every 10 minutes for passengers requiring transfers between T1, T2 and T3.
