Delhi Blast Case: After almost two months of the Delhi blast, the Forensic Lab has submitted its report to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) after probing various key aspects of the incident that claimed at least 15 lives. The report reportedly includes several key details, including a detailed analysis of the chemicals used in the attack and their quantity. Apart from this, the forensic lab has also provided a detailed DNA report of the terrorist, Dr Mohammed Umar, who was killed in the suicide attack. The report also includes a detailed analysis of the two cartridges recovered from the scene.
While providing details, Principal Director of the forensic lab in Rohini Dr Anil Agarwal stated that the chemical analysis of the explosives, the DNA report, and the ballistic report have been sent to the investigating agency. However, he declined to disclose the details of the investigation, citing the national security concerns. The suicide bomber Mohammad Umar used triacetone triperoxide (TATP) along with ammonium nitrate to amplify the effect of the explosion, reported Jagran.Com, citing forensic sources.

The authorities had collected at least 40 samples from the car used in the blast and other affected vehicles to decode the materials used for the explosion. Earlier on December 9, the NIA arrested eighth accused in the case from the national capital. "NIA found him involved in the conspiracy behind the terrorist attack that killed 11 persons and injured several others in the Red Fort area," the agency said.
"As per NIA investigations, Bilal had knowingly harboured the dead accused Umar Un Nabi by providing him logistical support. He is also accused of destruction of evidence related to the terrorist attack," it added. The blast near the iconic Red Fort claimed 15 lives and injured many, sending a shockwave through the whole country.
