Delhi Crime News: Three bodies of a family were discovered inside a house in Delhi's Nihal Vihar on Friday. Police received a PCR call at around 9.30 AM after which they arrived at a house in Nihal Vihar's Gali No 5 and discovered the bloodied bodies of a mother and daughter on the bed. The father's body was found hanging from the ceiling.
Police suspect that the husband killed his wife and daughter and then hung himself. The deceased have been identified as Ajay (42), his wife Teena (38) and their 4-year-old daughter Varsha.
Kushal, the couple's other son, aged 22, is an electrician by profession. When the incident occurred, he had left for work and returned home in the morning to find the bodies. It was unclear at first whether Kushal had placed the PCR call.
According to the police, the door to the room where the bodies were found was locked from inside. At first glance, it appeared as though a sharp weapon had been used to kill Teena and Varsha.
For additional investigation, a team from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) and a crime team were dispatched to the scene. ACP Paschim Vihar and other senior officers also arrived at the scene to assess the situation.
The late Ajay was a confectioner by profession. Ajay initially appears to have killed his wife and daughter with a sharp object before hanging himself to end his life.
A case under IPC section 302 has been filed. The case is currently under investigation.
