Delhi Crime News: In a bizarre incident near Delhi's Mahipalpur flyover, a 24-year-old man allegedly on Sunday crushed a security guard with his Mahindra Thar car upon being asked to not continuously blow horn. A CCTV footage of the incident shows the accused not stopping the car even after the security guard got hit by him. The accused fled the spot after the accident; however, he was arrested by the Vasant Kunj police officials withing six hours. The victim told police officials that the driver went aggressive when he was asked not to blow horn unnecessarily.

Rajiv Kumar, the victim who works as a security guard in a private firm, told police that the driver deliberately hit him and continued ran over him. The victim further stated that both of his legs and ankle got fractured after being hit by the car.

The Vasant Kunj South Police lodged a case of attempt to murder and hit and run against the driver. While investigating into the case, the police examined the CCTV footage around the spot and later arrested the accused Vijay alias Lala, a resident of Rangpuri, and too seized his Mahindra Thar car.

In an another development, the Chennai police arrested a mastermind of drug network from New Delhi on Monday. The police stated that the accused was wanted in multiple cases, adding that he belongs go West African nation Cote d'Ivoire. The Chennai Police said that the arrested person was identified as Abou (39). He was arrested from the national capital, along with one of his accomplices, a City Police release said.

Earliewr on May 2, Union Home Minister Amit Shah applauded the efforts of fight against the drug use. In a post on X, Shah stated that the drug cartels are being treated ruthlessly by the agencies.

The Amritsar Zonal Unit of the NCB axed a drug diversion cartel through a 4-month-long operation across 4 states, seizing drugs worth ₹547 crore and arresting 15. It is a giant stride towards building a drug-free Bharat under the vision of PM Narendra Modi. Congratulations to Team NCB," Shah stated.
