The Atishi government has decided to extend Delhi's Electric Vehicle Policy till March 2025. She stated that electric vehicles acquired on or after January 1, 2024, will be eligible for subsidies as well as a road tax exemption. The goal of the Delhi EV Policy is to encourage the purchase of electric vehicles in the capital.

CM Atishi approved a grant of Rs 17 crore to DSFDC to cover delayed salaries for Delhi government employees. Besides, the Delhi Cabinet has resolved to establish an optometry training branch at Guru Nanak Eye Centre.

Atishi stated at a press conference held here that the Delhi Cabinet has chosen to extend the EV policy and begin implementing the outstanding subsidy and road tax waiver on January 1 in response to the bad air quality.

"Electric vehicles bought on and after January 1, 2024, will get the subsidy and road tax waiver, which was stopped by the BJP when Arvind Kejriwal was sent to jail," she said.

According to the Chief Minister, the Delhi government has authorised a grant of Rs 17 crore to the Delhi Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation Limited (DSFDC) in order to settle outstanding staff salaries. Additionally, Atishi established a four-year graduate program in optometry in the Guru Nanak Eye Center's new wing.
